One Party Rules In The Trashing Of Lawn Signs

Dirty Politics As Usual As Oppositions' Campaign Placards Are Hauled Away To Town Dump
Michael Uhl, candidate for Nassau County Legislature in the 8th LD, couldn't believe his eyes.

Out on the campaign trail, Uhl spotted a Town of Hempstead truck -- a Department of Highways dumpster -- alongside a West Hempstead roadway. Then he saw the truck's driver hoisting lawn signs of Democratic candidate, Norman St. George (who is running for Nassau County Court Judge) into the dumpster.

"I was amazed," said Uhl. "Right on Woodfield Road in Lakeview, in broad daylight, as if picking up yesterday's trash from the curb, a Town of Hempstead worker carting away the opposition's lawn signs, without so much as a second thought. Simply unbelievable!"

Apparently, not so much as an over-the-shoulder glance, either, to see if anyone was watching.

Then again, the Town employee was not observed actually pulling the lawn signs from their posts in the ground. No sir. The worker told Uhl that his Supervisor did that!

The Town employee, who did not identify himself, told Uhl that his Supervisor was "ordered" to pull the lawn signs, and he, in turn, to pick them up and haul them to the Town dump in Merrick, by a Town Commissioner -- also unidentified. [Given that the dump truck had Town of Hempstead, Department of Highways emblazened on its side, one can only surmise that it wasn't ex-Building Commish John Loeffel calling the shots!]

"This has been going on for years," the Town employee revealed to Uhl. [Like we didn't know that the local political Machine employs seasonal workers this time of year to do just that -- steal the opponents signs. And you thought that only happened at the ballpark.]

“Its the juvenile mindset of local government out of control," lamented Uhl, "where stealing the opponents' campaign signs, using town employees to do the dirty deed, on the company's clock, and on the taxpayers’ dime, has become institutionalized. Its as if these folks have absolutely nothing better to do with their time, and our money, than to undermine democracy and let the public be damned.”

On Tuesday, November 6th, Send The Sign Stealers A Sign: ELECT MICHAEL UHL TO THE NASSAU COUNTY LEGISLATURE!

IT TAKES A LOT OF ENERGY TO RESPOND IN ANGER . THAT RESPONSE TENDS TO DEPLETE US AND DRAIN US .SO LETS GO FORTH AND PUT UP MORE SIGNS. THIS WILL CAUSE THEM ANGER AND WILL DEPLETE THE ENEMY .
